Designers - we think like you do.

We know how it goes.  You build a website for a client who doesn't want to sell online, then a year later they call you and say "So what would it take to add e-commerce to our site?".  And now you're freaking out, wondering how you're going to integrate a shopping cart without having to redesign the whole site.  Not to mention your customer, who knows nothing about web design, is either going to now be poking around adding products or calling you to do it, and you're wishing someone would just make a cart where you can add a couple of lines of code and the system figures out the rest for you.

Well, we did that.  If your site consists entirely of static pages, you can literally upload your entire website - pages, images, javascript, css, you name it - right into our platform.

All you have to do is upload a zip file.

Create a zip file of your existing site, upload it to our server, and our system will extract the file (preserving the directory structure) and you're good to go.  Now that a copy of your site is in our platform, you can convert one of your pages into a Wrapper (which acts as a universal header/footer/surrounding text for content pages) and Cartooga will dynamically insert category listings, product pages, search results, as necessary.

An alternate method.

If you don't want Cartooga to host your entire website, another way to go about adding our shopping cart to an existing website is by using a secondary domain name, such as http://store.yourdomain.com.  Just create a wrapper from an existing web page and when the user is ready to buy, you can seamlessly transition them over to the "store site".  This method lets you keep your existing web hosting, but match the look and feel of your main site.  And if you want to get really technical, our API can be used to list products and categories on your main site and only transition them over to the store site to begin the checkout process.
