Manage your own affiliates.

Cartooga's built-in affiliate program takes the work out of affiliate management and lets you automate the process.  For every product you can specify a percentage of the sale price to allocate as an affiliate commission, and when a customer checks out the system automatically keeps track of what affiliate referred the customer and how much they're owed for the sale.  You can specify the terms on how often affiliates get paid, how long you're holding the funds before releasing them, and minimum payout amounts.  You can also specify whether affiliates are allowed to sign up automatically, or if you want to manually review and approve them.

Affiliates can have their own domains, or just a special URL on your site that they send visitors to.  In all cases, when a link comes in from an affiliate your store will automatically remember the affiliate's ID and when a customer creates an account, that affiliate will be automatically assigned to that customer and receive credit for all future sales.  (Don't worry, you can manually re-assign affiliates too).

An affiliate program acts like an automatic advertising campaign, allowing other people to start promoting your products on their own websites and sending you free traffic!  The great thing about affiliate programs is that all of these virtual sales agents are sending you traffic, and you don't have to pay them until you sell something.  Cartooga's affiliate management system handles it all for you - it automatically tracks who is owed what and tells you when and who to pay based on the criteria you define.
