Customer Spotlight: Natural Sundae

Natural Sundae is a fast-growing manufacturer of all-natural products.  When they first started selling online they were using one of the widely available ASP-based shopping carts, but found it extremely cumbersome with limited functionality.  The owner, Sundae Ford, wanted to provide her customers with the best online experience possible, but instead was investing too much time fixing system problems.

The company was also struggling with their search engine optimization efforts, as the long querystrings in the Product URLs and limited design capabilities were working against them and making optimization more difficult than it needed to be.

When we first met Sundae to discuss how we could help improve her online store, we provided an Excel template so her staff could input all of their products and descriptions to be uploaded to Cartooga and explained that all we needed for a picture was their best, largest photo and our product imaging system would handle the rest.  Within a few minutes of finishing the Excel sheet, the products were imported, looking great, and ready for sale online.

The benefits of moving their online store to Cartooga were realized almost immediately.  The long querystring script-based URL's were a thing of the past, and the company could now focus on their SEO the way they always intended.  Cartooga's other features like the Deal of the Day and Gift Card support helped the company market their products and reach more customers in ways they never could have done with their old cart. 

The real-time shipping rates are a plus too - prior to Cartooga, they were flat-rating all orders which typically resulted in either a loss of a sale because shipping looked too expensive, or a loss on shipping costs trying to make the rate look more attractive.  With the real-time shipping calculations, they never lose money on shipping and the customer knows they're not being over-charged.

Today, Natural Sunade's sales have increased directly as a result of moving her site to our platform and Sundae appreciates the ability to spend more time making products and talking to customers instead of being held captive behind a computer trying to figure out why her site isn't working to its full potential.
